Former "Hannah Montana" star Mitchel Musso over the weekend was arrested on charges of public intoxication and theft after an argument in Rockwall, Texas.
Musso, known for his role of Oliver Oken on the popular Disney Channel sitcom, was apprehended by Rockwall police on Saturday night. Rockwall Police Department stated in a press release that Musso was arrested in response to a reported disturbance at a local hotel.
The 32-year-old actor, visibly intoxicated, reportedly entered the hotel premises and allegedly took a bag of chips without making a purchase. When confronted about the unpaid item, Musso is said to have become verbally aggressive before leaving the premises without settling the payment.
Rockwall police officers identified Musso outside the hotel, where his signs of intoxication were evident. He was subsequently taken into custody on charges of public intoxication and theft under $100. Further investigation revealed that Musso also had multiple outstanding traffic warrants.
Following his arrest, Musso was transported to the Rockwall County Detention Center, where he spent a night in jail. He was released the following Sunday afternoon after posting a $1,000 bond.
Mitchel Musso rose to fame as part of the ensemble cast of "Hannah Montana," sharing the screen with fellow actors Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, and Jason Earles from 2006 to 2011.
