Nap in style after heavenly Mansaf feast at this Jordanian Restaurant

Indulge in Jordan's iconic mansaf at Moab, but don't forget to bring your nap game! This restaurant offers cozy beds for the ultimate post-feast slumber.

Moab, a popular restaurant located in Jordan's bustling capital city, Amman, has introduced an innovative and unique solution to help diners cope with the after-effects of enjoying the traditional Levantine dish, mansaf. Recognizing the inherent drowsiness induced by this delicious meal, Moab now provides cozy beds in air-conditioned rooms, where customers can take a much-needed nap after indulging in Jordan's national delicacy.
Mansaf, a cherished and mouth watering dish, consists of tender lamb cooked in a delightful sauce of fermented dried yogurt, accompanied by a generous serving of rice. However, this beloved treat has a reputation for inducing post-meal fatigue, and locals have often been heard jokingly advising each other to schedule a nap after consuming it.
Recently, a video posted on Twitter by Now This News showed Moab's latest offering, and it quickly caught the attention of food enthusiasts worldwide. The situation is described by one pleased client, Mohammad al-Ouqdah, where it is stated that mansaf is naturally considered a very heavy meal in Jordan, and it is deemed important for one to have a nap, sleep, after eating mansaf. The mind is shaken by mansaf, thus one is required to sleep. If sleep is not taken, there is something wrong with the mansaf, he said.
The mastermind behind this brilliant idea is Omar Mbaideen, co-owner of Moab. He revealed that the concept began as a playful joke but soon turned into an undeniable attraction for customers seeking the ultimate mansaf experience. "Jameed yogurt, traditional ghee, and meat are used in preparing mansaf,. These are heavy ingredients, so most people like to have a nap after eating mansaf," explained Mbaideen, shedding light on the logic behind the offering.
The restaurant has thoughtfully created a designated sleeping area where patrons can rest and rejuvenate after savoring the deliciousness of their mansaf. For those who prefer a more straightforward culinary experience, the dining area remains separate, allowing them to enjoy their meal without partaking in the post-meal slumber.
