The Pakistan Prime Minister's seemingly "suicidal approach" is based on a shrewd assessment of a changed public mood in his own country (and to a lesser extent in India) that the Indo-Pak nonsense has gone on for too long, haemorrhaging both nations. When the learned gents in Stockholm sit down and decide on the 1998 Nobel Peace Prize they must at least consider the candidature of Mian Nawaz Sharif.
