Scripting Nativism

I ran into a parallel script on the way home. Transiting through Dubai and having spent my last penny at the duty free shop, I badly needed some coffee. A young Asian was trying to strike a conversation, so I told him to buy me coffee first. A Bangladeshi, born and bred in England, he was going home to meet his new wife - an arranged marriage to please his mother even though the bride spoke no English and he knew no Bengali. The communication, he assured me, was spiritual. Besides, he added, London girls are okay for fun, but for marriage, East is best.
