The wait is finally over. Microsoft has unveiled the Hindi version of its Office Suite Word 2000 for Indian users. The software launched on March 10 holds a host of promises for the desi computer buff. The product is complete with a Hindi dictionary and thesaurus and even supports the lunar calendar in addition to the Gregorian one. It has all the other features of a standard edition MS Word and works across Office applications. Whats more, users can now create web pages in Hindi and send and receive e-mails in Hindi. And yes, even your favorite Hotmail will support the Hindi format. But dont jump at it just yet, the software runs only on a Windows 2000 platform and takes 217 MB of your hard disk space.
