''Chhattisgarh Grameen Aawas NYAY Yojana'' To Be Launched Today

As many as 47 thousand 90 homeless families identified in Socio-Economic Survey 2023 and 6,99,439 families of permanent waiting list of PMAY will be benefited under the scheme. Chhattisgarh Government to provide financial aid for construction of houses under the scheme. A total of 10 lakh 76 thousand beneficiaries will be benefited from Awas Nyay Yojana in a phased manner in the coming years.

Lok Sabha MP Mr Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel will attend the "Aawas NYAY Sammelan" today in village Parsada (Sakri) of Takhatpur development block of Bilaspur district. These dignitaries will inaugurate the "Chhattisgarh Grameen Aawas NYAYA Yojana" on the occasion.  Under Grameen Aawas NYAY Yojana, 47,090 houseless families of the state will be benefited in the first phase. Chhattisgarh Government has also decided to sanction housing to the remaining 6,99,439 eligible families in the permanent waiting list of the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana (Rural).

On this occasion, MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Mr Baghel will distribute an amount of Rs 5 crore, i.e. Rs 1 lakh each to 500 beneficiaries of “Mukhyamantri Nirman Shramik Aawas Sahayata Yojana”.  At the program, Mr Gandhi and Mr Baghel will inaugurate and do Bhoomi Pujan of 414 development and construction works worth Rs 669 crore 69 lakh for Bilaspur district and will distribute appointment letters to 2594 selected teachers and forest rights letters to 1117 beneficiaries in urban areas.  Chief Minister Mr Bhupesh Baghel, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. T.S. Singh Deo, former Union Minister Ms. Kumari Selja, MP Mr. Deepak Baij, Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant will attend the program as special guests of the occasion.  The program will be presided over by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr Ravindra Choubey.  This event is being organized at Fire and SDRF Ground of Parsada.

Dignitaries present on this occasion will visit various stalls set up at the venue and after meeting the beneficiaries of the schemes, they will distribute housing sanction orders, cheques of financial aid under the schemes, and tricycles etc.  On this occasion, the Garment Factory Ganiyari-Nagoi run by a self-help group will also be inaugurated.

State Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Housing and Environment Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Industry Minister Mr. Kawasi Lakhma, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Anila Bhendia, Revenue Minister Mr. Jaisingh Aggarwal,  Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar, Higher Education Minister Mr Umesh Patel, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Mr Amarjeet Bhagat, Scheduled Caste and Tribe Development Minister Mr Mohan Markam, MP Bilaspur Mr Arun Sao, MP Korba Mr Jyotsna Mahant, Parliamentary Secretary Mrs Rashmi  Ashish Singh, MLA Bilha Mr Dharamlal Kaushik, MLA Mr Shailesh Pandey, Dr. Mr Krishnamurthy Bandhi, Dr. Mrs. Renu Jogi, Mr Rajneesh Singh and District Panchayat President Bilaspur Mr Arun Singh Chauhan will also attend "Aawas NYAY Sammelan" to be held today.
