India is celebrating its 77th Independence Day today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurling the national flag at the historic Red Fort in Delhi. He delivered his 10th consecutive Independence Day address where he spoke of cycle of violence, incidents of atrocities against women in Manipur and said that India is with people of state. He lauded his government's achievements and set a roadmap for the next few years. The celebration hosted around 1,800 people from different walks of life, including sarpanches of more than 660 villages, construction workers contributing to the Central Vista Project, along with teachers, nurses and fishermen.
