AAP Will Participate In Opposition Meeting Tomorrow In Bengaluru: Raghav Chadha

AAP leader Raghav Chadha confirmed the decision following a meeting of the party's highest decision-making body, expressing support for the Congress' stand against the Centre's ordinance on administrative services in Delhi.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has confirmed its participation in the upcoming meeting of opposition parties in Bengaluru, aimed at devising a collective strategy to combat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, as announced by party leader Raghav Chadha on Sunday. This decision comes after the AAP's political affairs committee (PAC) meeting at the residence of party national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, where Chadha also applauded the Congress' stance in opposing the Centre's ordinance regarding control of administrative services in Delhi.

Previously, the AAP had expressed its willingness to join the Bengaluru meeting only if the Congress supported their opposition to the Delhi ordinance in Parliament. Following the PAC deliberations, Chadha confirmed that under the leadership of Kejriwal, the AAP would actively participate in the opposition gathering, which will commence with a dinner on Monday.

This meeting will mark the second gathering of over a dozen opposition parties as they strive to forge a united front and formulate a joint strategy to challenge the BJP in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In their initial meeting held in Patna, the participating parties had resolved to confront the BJP collectively in the forthcoming elections.
