Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday congratulated ISRO scientists for successfully launching the NVS-01 satellite aboard the GSLV-F12 and managing to place it into geosynchronous transfer orbit.
ISRO scientists launched the satellite from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Tirupati district of the state.

ISRO scientists launched the satellite from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Tirupati district of the state.
"NVS-01, the first of the second-generation satellites launched by ISRO, will ensure the continuity of navigational services and…the successful mission has added another feather in the cap of ISRO," said the Governor in a press note shared by Raj Bhavan on Monday.
The Chief Minister too congratulated the ISRO team for successfully launching the next generation satellite, propelling India’s navigation capabilities.
He also wished ISRO success in its future endeavours.
