AP Govt To Launch 'Jaganannaku Chebudam' Phone Programme For People To Resolve Problems

The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh will launch a new phone programme called 'Jaganannaku Chebudam' on April 13 with the objective of hearing out people's problems and resolving them on the spot. In a crucial workshop with ministers, legislators, assembly constituencies in-charges, coordinators and other key functionaries on the government's mass contact programme 'Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabuthvam', Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said 'Jaganannaku Chebudam' (Let's tell Jagan brother) will start with resolving individual grievances regarding ration cards and other issues in the villages.

The novel programme also aims to enable people to directly report their grievances to the Chief Minister's office (CMO) through a dedicated phone line, an official release on Monday night said. Meanwhile, Reddy directed his party MLAs to pull up their socks and vigorously participate by reaching out to the people through these mass contact programmes. He informed them that the southern state has disbursed a record amount of Rs 2 lakh crore through direct benefit transfers (DBT) under various welfare schemes before the completion of four years of the YSRCP regime. “What I learned from my father (former CM Y S Rajasekhara Reddy) in politics is that politics means human relations. I don't want to lose any MLA and not even a single activist. My intention is very clear and I am initiating several programmes to make all the MLAs win again," the Chief Minister stated.

According to Reddy, crores of people depend on the government for their welfare, pointing out that if the MLAs do not work in the right way, their image in the public will be dented, resulting in a loss to the party and the cadre. Contingent to these realities, the Chief Minister instructed party leaders to rally around the 'Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabuthvam' programme and increase their acceptance among the masses, noting that his duty was to disburse funds through welfare programmes while the MLAs have to connect with the people. He asserted that if these twin objectives are realised, YSRCP winning all the 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh is not an impossible task. The state is expected to go to polls in 2024 along with the Lok Sabha election.
