Andhra Pradesh Industries and IT Minister Amarnath Gudivada on Thursday met various central ministries and invited them to the Global Investors Summit to be held in Vishakapatnam on March 3 and 4.
Gudivada invited Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy, and Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal for the summit.
He is scheduled to meet other central ministers on Friday.
"We are looking at 13 key sectors for investment. Therefore, we are meeting sector-specific central ministers and inviting them to our summit," Gudivada told reporters.
Gudivada said the state government has kept a realistic investment target of a minimum of Rs 1.80 lakh crore.
"The previous government boasted of attracting an investment of Rs 18 lakh crore. But the realised investment was Rs 1,80,000 crore, just 10 per cent of the MoUs signed during the summit," he added.
Further, the minister said the state government had signed MoUs worth Rs 1.80 lakh crore investment during the recent World Economic Forum, out of which clearance has been given for an investment worth Rs 34,000 crore.
"We want to get only the realised investment only. Not a big figure to boast," he added.
