As his first order of business as Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav introduced a ban on the use of loudspeakers beyond permissible limits and hours at religious and public spaces, on Wednesday. Addressing the media following the Cabinet meeting, Mr. Yadav emphasised that this restriction aligns with the Supreme Court guidelines on loudspeaker usage.
Mr. Yadav also announced measures to regulate the sale of meat and eggs in open spaces.

Mr. Yadav disclosed plans to establish flying squads in all districts to monitor and report on unauthorised or rule-violating loudspeaker usage within three days. While awareness campaigns will be initiated to educate the public and businesses involved in the meat trade.
Earlier in the day, Mohan Yadav was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, with a distinguished audience that included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and various chief ministers from BJP-ruled states, as stated by a party official.
The BJP's decision to appoint Yadav as the new chief minister brought an end to several days of suspense over who was going to claim the top job. Yadav, aged 58 and a minister in the Chouhan government, was unanimously elected as the BJP legislative party leader during a meeting on Monday.
