A three-member judicial commission is recreating the crime scene of the shootout involving gangsters Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf in Prayagraj.
The commission is headed by high court judge (retired) Arvind Kumar Tripathi, and retired judge Brijesh Kumar Soni and former DGP Subesh Kumar Singh are also its members, officials said.
As part of their ongoing investigation, members of the judicial commission reached the Colvin hospital where the incident had taken place on April 15.
The three persons accused of killing gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Mohammad Ashraf -- Lovelesh Tiwari, Mohit and Arun Kumar Maurya-- were produced in the court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) on Wednesday morning.
They were brought to the court amid tight security. They were taken away after an hour-long appearance in the court, District government advocate Gulab Chandra Agrahari said. Police have sought a seven-day remand of the accused.
