The Delhi Police on Saturday said traffic will be affected at ITO in view of a political party's protest at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Marg, officials said.
Taking to X, the police asked commuters to avoid the roads leading up to ITO.
"In view of a political party's protest at DDU Marg, traffic will remain heavy at ITO Chowk, Minto Road and other nearby roads. DDU Marg may be closed for traffic movement from 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM. Kindly avoid these roads and plan your journey accordingly," the police wrote on the microblogging platform. PTI

PDP president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said the Uttar Pradesh government's order to all eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route to display their owners' names is against the Constitution, which guarantees equal rights to all.
Speaking to reporters at a party function, Mufti said it has already become evident that the BJP government is "trampling" the Constitution which guarantees equal rights and justice to everyone without any discrimination on the basis of religion or name.
"Rahul Gandhi was right when he said that if they (BJP) get over 400 seats, they will destroy the Constitution. They have come to 240 from 350 seats, but they have not learnt their lesson, they continue to do the opposite of what the Constitution says," said Mufti.
"This risks the spread of confrontation in the country and the confrontation is brewing," she added.

The Ministry of External Affairs shared a notification regarding the return of Indian students and other nationals from Bangladesh amid the crisis situation in the neighbouring country.
The statement read, "Thus far, 778 Indian students have returned to India through various land ports. In addition, around 200 students have returned home by regular flight services through and Chittagong airports. The High Commission of India in Dhaka and our Assistant High Commissions are in regular touch with more than 4000 students remaining in various universities in Bangladesh and are providing necessary assistance. "
It also added, "Students from Nepal and Bhutan have also been assisted with their crossing into India on request."

Around 100 students returned to India on Saturday from violence-hit Bangladesh through two integrated checkposts in Tripura, the Border Security Force said here.
More students are expected to return to the country, BSF, Tripura Frontier said in a statement.
"Indian and foreign students, who are studying in Bangladesh, are returning to India as the agitation has now become violent. Today, till 1600 hrs, approx 100 students, including those from Nepal, have returned using valid documents," it said.

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake jolted Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Saturday, officials said.
According to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS), the tremor was felt at 5.34 pm in the hilly district.
The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers below the surface at latitude 33.29 degrees north and longitude 76.67 degrees east, it said.

In a fresh crackdown on jailed former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's party, four senior members of his media team were taken into custody allegedly by intelligence agencies on Saturday.
"International Media Coordinator Ahmed Janjua and three other social media team members have been abducted early this morning," Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party said in a statement.
CCTV footage released by the party showed Janjua being taken into custody by plainclothes men in Islamabad at around 4 am.
Tomato prices soared to Rs 100 per kg in retail markets of the national capital on Saturday as adverse weather conditions in various parts of the country continue to affect supplies of the essential kitchen staple.
Tomatoes are available at Rs 100 per kg at Mother Dairy's retail outlets, Safal, in the national capital. According to the data compiled by the Department of Consumer Affairs, retail prices of tomatoes in Delhi are ruling at Rs 93 per kg on Saturday, July 20.
The all-India average price of tomatoes on July 20 is Rs 73.76 per kg as per the government data. A senior official from the department had last week attributed the sharp rise in prices to disruption in supplies caused by extreme heat followed by spells of excess rainfall. (PTI Inputs)
Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Saturday reached here to review security situation at a meeting in Jammu and Kashmir amidst growing terror activities in parts of otherwise peaceful Jammu region.
This was the second visit of the army chief to Jammu in less than three weeks after taking charge as the 30th chief of the Indian Army on June 30.
Nine army personnel, including a captain, were killed in two separate terror attacks in remote forest belts of Machedi in Kathua and Desa forest in Doda on July 8 and July 15.
