The couple identified as Deva (24) and Vaishnav lived at Mico layout in Begur for the last two years. Deva hailed from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala while Vaishnav was from Kollam in Kerala. The two have reportedly known each other since college and worked in the sales and marketing sector.

As per reports, the neighbours of the couple have informed the police that the duo quarrelled often but the two never filed any complaints against each other before.

CK Baba, senior police officer of South Bengaluru told ANI, "Vaishnav had some doubts about the deceased, and they fought over it. On Sunday, this happened again, and he hit the woman with a cooker."

According to Indian Express, the couple were already fighting because Vaishnav suspected Deva of infidelity.
