Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Janapav, the birthplace of Lord Parshuram, near Indore in the state is being developed from the point of view of spirituality and tourism. Janapav will emerge as a divine and grand centre. The state government has made arrangements to give honorarium to the priests of temples and incentives to the students studying in Sanskrit schools, who are becoming proficient in performing religious rites, along with a public holiday on Lord Parshuram Jayanti. An initiative has been taken to give Rs 8,000 to the students of class 1st to 5th and Rs 10,000 to the students of class 6th to 12th. The Biography of Lord Parshuram will also be taught in the textbooks.
