Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pankaja Munde put an end to swirling rumors about her potential departure from the saffron party and joining the Congress. Addressing the media in Satara, Munde firmly denied any plans of quitting the BJP and dismissed the reports as false. She vowed to take legal action against the spread of such baseless information.
"A few days back, a report claimed that I have met Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi twice, and I am quitting the BJP to join the Congress. This report is absolutely false. I swear that I have never spoken with any leader of any party regarding my entry into their party. I will soon file a defamation case," emphasized Pankaja Munde as she vehemently rejected the rumors of her joining the Congress, as PTI reported.

Munde emphasized her political inspiration from the ideologies of Deendayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, stating, "I joined politics inspired by Deendayal Upadhyaya's and Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji's ideology... It is true several political parties have made statements offering me to join them, but I have never reciprocated. In my entire life, I have never personally met Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi. These speculations about me joining Congress are absolutely baseless and factually incorrect. Whoever has done this work with whatever motive will have to furnish all details in court. For the past 20 years, I have proactively worked for the BJP. I have never taken a holiday."
Expressing her plans for the immediate future, Munde announced, "I will be taking a break for the next one to two months. I will be focusing on myself and introspecting on my life."
Amidst the ongoing speculations, Pankaja Munde criticized the tendency to prioritize controversies over discussing crucial issues affecting the country and its system. She remarked, "Instead of discussing the issues, we discuss controversies around those issues. We don't discuss things which are harmful to the country and system."
