The BJP legislators stood in protest, contending that matters pertaining to Delhi should take precedence within the House. Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla swiftly reacted, questioning the BJP MLAs' stance, rhetorically asking, "Do they believe that Manipur's concerns are unworthy of deliberation within this assembly? Even the UP Assembly dedicated time to address the Manipur issue."
Despite Birla's intervention, the BJP MLAs persisted in their protest, ultimately leading to the eviction of four members: Abhay Verma, Jitender Mahajan, Ajay Mahawar, and OP Sharma.
