The INDIA bloc leaders are set to demand a discussion in the Parliament on Friday, over the alleged discrepancies in NEET UG 2024 examination. They will also participate in the debate on the vote of thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's address.
Three people were injured after a portion of the roof of the Delhi airport's Terminal-1 fell on cars, including taxis, amid heavy rains early Friday, Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said. One person is trapped under the collapsed roof and fire department personnel are trying to bring him out from under the debris, they said.
Many vehicles were damaged in the incident that was reported to the DFS around 5.30 am, the officials said.

Seeking his suspension from Lok Sabha, miscreants pasted posters outside the residence of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday evening.
According to a police officer, four-five men reached Owaisi's 34 Ashoka Road residence located in Central Delhi and pasted three posters at the entry gate and wall of the house about 9 pm.
The lines like 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'I stand with Israel' and 'Owaisi should be suspended' were written on the posters.
Amid the possibility of the Deputy Speaker post in the Lok Sabha getting occupied this time, which was vacant under the previous NDA term, the political slugfest over who will take the seat continues. While the INDIA bloc continues to push for their candidate, NDA said that there is no precondition for the opposition to get the post.
Two candidates in Iran's presidential election, which is set to take place today, withdrew from the race as the country prepared for the upcoming vote.
Amirhossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, 53, dropped his candidacy and urged other candidates to do the same “so that the front of the revolution will be strengthened,” the state-run IRNA news agency reported late Wednesday night.

Several parts of Delhi received heavy downpour during the early hours of Friday. Visuals making rounds on social media have shown parts of Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad facing traffic snarls and waterlogged roads due to incessant rainfall.
Six people were injured after a portion of the roof of the Delhi airport's Terminal-1 fell on cars, including taxis, amid heavy rains early Friday, Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said. They said a search operation is underway to make sure no one else is trapped in the damaged vehicles.
The injured persons have been hospitalised, they said.
Of the six, one was rescued from a car on which an iron beam had fallen, the officials said. Three fire-tenders were sent to the airport after a call about the incident was received by the DFS around 5:30 am.
In light off the roof collapse incident, all departures from Terminal 1 have been temporarily suspended. As part of safety measure, the check-in counters are closed as well, say reports.
The BJP slammed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday over the waterlogging issue on several road stretches in the city with light rain on Thursday, alleging that around 150 of 700 drains were desilted in the city.
"Those (AAP) who used to curse the MCD earlier for all the civic problems are now themselves ruling the civic body and they can not have the excuse that they are powerless. The AAP government is least concerned with Delhi people and their well-being," Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged.

The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police arrested four persons, including three from West Bengal, in connection with the constable recruitment examination question paper leak on October 1, 2023, leading to its cancellation by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) on October 3.
The arrested persons are Kaushik Kumar Kar and Sanjay Das, both residents of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, and Suman Biswas from Kolkata. Another arrested person, Saurabh Bandhopadhay, hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Friday slammed the Congress for stalling the Lok Sabha proceedings without taking up the debate on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address and accused it of flouting parliamentary conventions.
Rijiju's remarks came soon after the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day amid opposition protests for a dedicated discussion on the NEET issue ahead of the debate on the Motion of Thanks.
"The government is ready for discussion on any issue, but the attitude of the Congress to stall parliamentary proceedings is not good. I condemn the manner in which the Congress is flouting parliamentary traditions and conventions," the minister said.
