Chandrayaan-3 Launch: PM Narendra Modi Wishes Good Luck, Says Mission Carries Dreams Of India

Chandrayaan-3 will soft-land on the surface of the Moon in what will be the second attempt after Isro failed with the Chandrayaan-2 mission four years ago. The spacecraft, equipped with a lander and rover, will detach from the Propulsion Module after being injected into lunar orbit.

India is all set to launch its third lunar mission to the moon, Chandrayaan-3, at 2.35 pm today from the spaceport in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his best wishes to the ISRO team and said that July 14 2023 will always be etched in golden letters as far as India’s space sector is concerned.

"Chandrayaan-3, our third lunar mission, will embark on its journey. This remarkable mission will carry the hopes and dreams of our nation," he tweeted.
