CM Baghel Reviews Preparedness For Modi's Visit To Chhattisgarh On Friday

In the review meeting held at CM's official residence here, Baghel directed officials to ensure proper security arrangements for the PM's visit, an official statement said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday chaired a high-level meeting convened to review the preparedness for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state capital Raipur on July 7.

In the review meeting held at CM's official residence here, Baghel directed officials to ensure proper security arrangements for the PM's visit, an official statement said. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo and other senior officials were present in the meeting.

Modi will lay foundation stones and dedicate multiple projects during his day-long tour on Friday which comes months ahead of the Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address a public meeting in Raipur.

It will be Modi's first visit to the Congress-ruled Chhattisgarh after being re-elected as PM for a second term in 2019.
