Cold conditions continue to grip most parts of Rajasthan with Fatehpur in Sikar district recording a night temperature of minus 4.5 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature has increased by one to two degrees in most parts of the state except the Shekhawati region in the last 24 hours, the Met office said.
The minimum temperature in Churu was minus 2.7 degrees Celsius, Alwar minus 0.5 degrees, Sikar 0.5 degrees, Pilani 1.2 degrees, Bhilwara 1.5 degrees, Sangaria in Hanumangarh 1.6 degrees.
The night temperature was recorded at 2.8 degrees Celsius in Ganganagar, 3 degrees in Bikaner, and 5.2 degrees in Jaipur.
Two western disturbances are likely to lead to an increase in the minimum temperature in the coming days. The Met department has predicted a relief from the severe cold wave from Thursday.
The Met Office has predicted the possibility of cloudy skies in the Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions under the impact of the first western disturbance on Thursday-Friday.
Light rain or drizzle is also likely at one or two places on Thursday, it said.
The second western disturbance could trigger rainfall from January 22 to 26.
