As of Friday noon, the Yamuna's water level in Delhi stood at 204.95 meters, below the critical threshold of 205.33 meters. However, the forecast projects that the water level may reach 205.45 meters between 10 pm and 12 midnight on Friday, with the possibility of further increases thereafter, as reported by PTI.
In response to the forecast, the Delhi government has directed officials to maintain constant vigilance in vulnerable areas and take immediate action at critical points. Authorities have been instructed to warn residents living close to river embankments and make necessary arrangements to shift them to safer locations.
