Lok Sabha Election 2024: The country is gripped in the ‘carnival of democracy’ with political parties fighting it out to clear their ways to reach Delhi. On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address four rallies in Karnataka. He is scheduled to address rallies in Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere and Ballari. Modi’s rallies in Karnataka are part of BJP’s efforts to consolidate its base in southern state. Earlier, on Saturday night Modi was welcomed by former Chief Minister Jagdish Shettar and other leaders, when he arrived at Kundanagari Belgaum for the Lok Sabha election campaign. The polling in Karnataka’s 14 Lok Sabha seats out of 28 was held in the second phase while the rest 14 seats are slated to go for polls on May 7.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said, “I got to know when I came here that a video is being circulated that people of Sangh (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) say this from outside but from inside they don’t support reservation. In his reaction to the resignation of Arvinder Singh Lovely from the post of Delhi Congress Chief, BJP leader Manoj Tiwari on Sunday, "The way DPCC Chief resigned saying that he is not being heard, means that the Congress has been uprooted. People will press the BJP button and answer them."
Speaking at a rally in Kendrapara, Odisha, Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi has take fresh attacks against the BJP and BJD alliance in the state.

Delhi's Congress chief Arvinder Singh Lovely has stated that he will not be joining another party. The Delhi chief resigned earlier on Sunday, citing issues with Congress' alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party.
Speaking at a rally in Sangrur, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has expressed confidence for the winning chances of the INDIA alliance.
"I am travelling in the whole country... Two phases of the elections are complete. Voting on 190 seats is complete. Out of those 190, the INDIA alliance is winning 120-125 seats. We are going to have a share in forming the government. The upcoming central government will not be formed without the Aam Aadmi Party," stated the Punjab CM.
Speaking on the resignation of Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely, BJP's Delhi president has stated that the allegations made by Lovely point out to the level of corruption in the Congress-AAP alliance.
"The allegations that he made, we have been speaking about this since day one. Congress and AAP top leadership joined hands to hide their corruption, their parties united not their hearts, which is visible here...The day Udit Raj and Kanhaiya Kumar were given tickets...those who stand with people who want to divide the country, a person with self-respect will never stay there. The third phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will begin on May 7. During the third phase, a total of 12 states will head to the polls to cast their votes. Eligible voters will be picking their candidates across 94 constituencies in these states.

For the first two phases of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Election Commission of India reported low voter turnouts.
For Phase 1 of the elections (April 19), the ECI reported a turnout of nearly 66 percent - 66.1 percent. For Phase 2 on April 26, the voter turnout stood at nearly 61 percent - 60.96 percent.
As per AAP sources, Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita has been denied permission to meet Delhi CM in jail.
With the Delhi CM in jail, his wife Sunita Kejriwal is running the show and campaigning ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Delhi will be going to the polls on May 25.
Citing the murder of 23-year-old Neha Hiremath, PM Modi has accused the Congress government of "kneeling down before appeasement politics".
"The Karnataka Congress has kneeled down before the appeasement politics. A mindset is being pushed, which is dangerous for Karnataka and the country. Crime and terror cannot be compromised for vote bank. But Congress is not ready to learn anything," stated the PM.
