Sharad Yadav was reportedly brought to the hospital in a "unconscious and unresponsive" state.

The news of his death was confirmed by his daughter, Subhashini Sharad Yadav, who took to Twitter and wrote, "Pappa nehi rahe".
According to media reports, Yadav's health was reportedly deteriorating and he was brought to Forits Hospital in Gurugram in an "unconscious and unresponsive" state. Issuing a statement the hospital said that he did not have any pulse or recordable blood pressure.
