Ramnagar Station House Officer (SHO) Arun Kumar said that the fire soon spread to around 35 adjacent shops and reduced them to ashes.
The shops were made using thatch, which caused the fire to rapidly spread. The police officer mentioned that it took several hours for local residents and firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
