The main suspect in the Hathras stampede—Devprakash Madhukar has surrendered before the security agencies.
“Dev Prakash Madhukar who was named in the FIR in the Hathras case, was said to be the main organiser has surrendered in front of SIT, STF and Police,” reported news agency ANI.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other related courses, and the Union education ministry have been at the centre of media debates and protests by students and political parties over alleged large-scale malpractices ranging from question paper leaks to impersonation in the test held on May 5.
In a post on 'X' in Hindi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said the Modi government has told the Supreme Court that no paper has been leaked in NEET-UG.

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Saturday, police said.
They said the security forces were conducting a cordon-and-search operation in Modergam village of the south Kashmir district after receiving inputs about the presence of terrorists there.
The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon security personnel, a police official said.

ED arrested his son too. MSR's family was having a hard time. MSR, on July 17, 2023, changed his statement and said that on March 16, 2021, I met Kejriwal and he asked me to start liquor business in Delhi and in return give Rs 100 crore to AAP. The next day, MSR's son was released from jail on bail. It is obviously a lie."

At least 38 passengers were injured when the private bus they were travelling in overturned on Purvanchal Expressway in Amethi, UP, earlier today.
CO Musafirkhana Atul Kumar Singh told PTI, “We received the information today at around 4:30 am that a bus overturned on the highway. Police force reached the spot. The injured were sent to the hospital."

The light tank Zorawar was developed jointly by DRDO and Larsen and Toubro for the Indian Army and was reviewed by DRDO chief Dr Samir V Kamath in Hazira, Gujarat today.
Zorawar has been developed by the DRDO to meet the Indian Army’s requirements in the eastern Ladakh sector to counter the Chinese deployment across the Line of Actual Control.
