Bomb Threat On Delhi-Varanasi IndiGo Flight Prompts Evacuation, Passengers Exit Using Slides | WATCH

The passengers of the Delhi-Varanasi IndiGo flight were evacuated promptly via emergency exit following the bomb threat. The aircraft has been moved to isolation bay and further investigations are being carried out.

A Varanasi-bound IndiGo Airlines flight on Tuesday morning received a bomb threat at Delhi airport. However, after a thorough inspection, police concluded that it was nothing but a hoax.

"No suspicious items were found. It was a hoax threat. Further investigation is underway". said police.

It has been reported that an information was received at around 5 am regarding a paper found in the lavatory of an Indigo flight scheduled to depart for Varanasi, with the phrase "bomb @5.30'' written on it while the flight was scheduled to take off at 5.35 am.

The passengers of the Delhi-Varanasi IndiGo flight were evacuated promptly via emergency exit following the bomb threat.

According to an official, an aviation security team and a bomb disposal squad have been deployed. Moreover, a quick response team of the Delhi Fire Services has also reached the spot shortly after receiving the news of a bomb threat.

After secure evacuation of all the passengers, the flight was moved to isolation bay where the security agency personnel conducted a search operation following standard protocols.
