The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning predicting heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for the next two days, exacerbating the ongoing downpour that has disrupted normal life and caused widespread devastation. The western coast is also expected to experience an increase in rainfall activity starting from July 17, while a decrease is anticipated over northeast India. The IMD further forecasts widespread rainfall in Himachal Pradesh for the next five days and similar conditions in Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh for the next three days.
