A few women police personnel razed the house of a rape accused in Madhya Pradesh’s Damoh district using JCB bulldozers. The man, Kaushal Kishore Choubey, was one of four people accused of raping a minor girl in the state.
This is the latest among the recent bulldozer actions seen in BJP-ruled states. Last week, authorities in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj bulldozed the house of a close aide of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, accused in the Umesh Pal murder case.

Last week, authorities in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj bulldozed the house of a close aide of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, amid heavy police presence.
Similar action was taken in UP’s Banda district, where two more illegal houses were bulldozed, belonging to alleged aides of gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari.
In December, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Madhya Pradesh government had ordered the demolition using bulldozers of an illegal house of a man named Pankaj Tripathi, who was seen thrashing his 19-year-old girlfriend after she asked him to marry her.
