In Pictures: 31 Years Of Babri Masjid Demolition

It has been 31 years since the domes of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya were razed by a mob of thousands, most belonging to the Sangh Parivar. The demolition resulted from years of socio-political debate over the firm belief of Hindus that the site of the mosque was Ram Janmabhoomi, the birthplace of Lord Ram. The demolition of Babri Masjid, following the dedicated efforts of Hindu nationalists, paved the way for the construction of the Ram Mandir. The temple, which has now become a key topic in election campaigns, will be inaugurated on January 22, 2024. Meanwhile, there is no date for the construction of the proposed mosque.
