What next?
This is an opportunity to fulfill the promises we made in the manifesto. It’s going to be a big responsibility. I welcome it and the reason why I’m here is to fulfill those responsibilities. I would like to say it’s not just the responsibility of voicing the concern of the political party I represent but an opportunity to voice the concern of the entire Northeast…not just my own state but all the states. I take this responsibility seriously.
Your win?
It’s the efforts of the entire party…it’s the leadership of our chief minister Conrad K. Sangma who is also the party president. And the people of Garo Hills definitely can never forget their leader P.A. Sangma. He represented Garo Hills for over 30 years. I feel people see his reflection in me and it has played an important role in today’s victory.
