A San Francisco-bound Air India flight from Delhi was diverted to Krasnoyarsk international airport in Russia on Thursday due to a technical issue, the airline said.

The Supreme Court on Friday refused to entertain a plea of two of the 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano case challenging the January 8 verdict cancelling their remission.
A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Sanjay Kumar termed the plea as "absolutely misconceived" and said how can it sit in appeal over an order passed by another bench of the apex court.
"What is this plea? How is this plea maintainable? This is absolutely misconceived. How can an Article 32 petition be filed? We can’t sit in appeal over an order passed by another bench," the bench said.

National Informatics Centre's network is not affected, said IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Microsoft global outage.
Taking it to X, Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, " MEITY is in touch with Microsoft and its associates regarding the global outage. The reason for this outage has been identified and updates have been released to resolve the issue. CERT is issuing a technical advisory. NIC network is not affected."
Amid the global Microsoft outage, flight operations are significantly affected across cities including Jaipur, Patna and several others. According to a SpiceJet flight attendant, "Systems are still not up. Flights are also getting delayed and passengers are also facing problems...we wrote everything manually...There was a huge crowd...We issued manual boarding passes...But we managed..."
Taking cognisance of the global outage, a Microsoft spokesperson said, "Aware of issue affecting Windows devices due to update from third-party software platform. We anticipate a resolution is forthcoming."
Commenting on the global outage, BJP leader and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said, "I know as much as you know. I am consuming the unprecedented outage. I have seen many outages, system shutdowns, crashes due to underlying problems. In this case, there is no underlying problems. Only Microsoft will have to determine the issue and communicate it with the government. This has affected many consumers, small businesses."
Commenting on the global outage, George Kurtz, the CEO of Crowdstrike, said, "Crowdstrike is actively working with customers impacted by a defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts. Mac and Linux hosts are not impacted. This is not a security incident or cyberattack. The issue has been identified, isolated and a fix has been deployed", as per BBC.
"We refer customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website. We further recommend organisations ensure they’re communicating with Crowdstrike representatives through official channels', he further added.
