Indignation, Introspection Over Trump’s Remark On India’s 'Filthy' Air

While some felt Trump had no business criticising India, others pointed out that India’s air was indeed extremely ‘dirty’

US President Donald Trump’s description of India’s air as ‘Filthy’ provoked both outrage and introspection on the internet Friday.
"Look at China, how filthy it is. Look at Russia. Look at India. The air is filthy...” Trump said, in an attempt to justify his decision to walk out of the Paris Accord on Climate Change during the second and final debate ahead of the November 3 US Presidential polls.

Take a look at some of the comments:

Some of the Twitterati even supported Trump.

Earlier,  Trump made another critical reference to India during a debate. At the first presidential debate, he questioned India's coronavirus data. "When you talk about numbers you don't know how many people died in China, you don't know how many people died in Russia, you don't know how many people died in India. They don't exactly give you a straight count," he had said.

Meanwhile, in Delhi, the air quality deteriorated from poor to  'very poor' category, amidst warnings that things would probably worsen over the next few days.
