Instagram Love Triangle Turns Deadly: Teenager Arrested As Prime Suspect In Gruesome Murder

In a tragic turn of events stemming from a love triangle that unfolded on Instagram, 18-year-old Arman Khan finds himself in judicial custody as the prime suspect in a murder case. The victim, Mahir (also known as Imran), was stabbed 50 times in northeast Delhi's Bhagirathi Vihar on Wednesday night. The complexity of this story lies in the intertwining relationships, as both Arman and Mahir were romantically involved with the same woman they had met on the social media platform, according to media reports. 

The unfortunate incident transpired after an argument between Arman and the woman, wherein Arman, fueled by jealousy, snatched her phone upon discovering her video calls with Mahir. Days later, Arman orchestrated a meeting with Mahir under the guise of returning the woman's phone. However, the meeting took a gruesome turn, culminating in Mahir's untimely death due to multiple stab wounds.

Following the investigation, the police arrested Arman and two of his friends, Faisal (21) and Mohammed Sameer (19), based on the woman's statement and supporting evidence. The police, alerted by a PCR call on December 27, initiated their inquiry after discovering Mahir's lifeless body by the roadside in Bhagirathi Vihar. Mahir, a 50-year-old supervisor in a company manufacturing flex boards in central Delhi's Paharganj, succumbed to a brutal attack, leaving behind a crime scene with a knife as a chilling piece of evidence.

The investigative process involved scrutinizing CCTV footage around the crime scene and analyzing the call records of the deceased. It was revealed that Mahir had lengthy conversations with both Arman and the woman before the tragic incident. The woman's cooperation with the police shed light on Arman's possessiveness and the volatile nature of their relationships.

Arman, Faisal, and Mohammed Sameer were subsequently produced in court and remanded to judicial custody. The police plan to file a chargesheet against them promptly.
