Jaish-e-Mohammad operational commander, North Kashmir, Khalid Bhai on Monday was gunned down by the security forces during an encounter at Ladoora village of Rafiabad, Baramulla, around 60 km North of Srinagar.
This comes just after one JCO was killed by militants in Beerwah area of Budgam after the army came under attack during a search operation early on Monday.

Sources said Khalid sustained bullet wounds earlier in a fire exchange in his leg and couldn't flee from the area. Later, Khalid was killed in the encounter. The police said he was from Pakistan.

Srinagar based defence spokesman said an army patrolling party came under fire on Sunday night in Drang area of Budgam. He said Subedar Raj Kumarwas killed in the crossfire.
In the incident, Kumar of 53 RR received a serious injuries was shifted to near by army hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The encounter started between the security force and the militants at Ladoora area of Rafiabad, around 60 km North of Kashmir. According to sources top Jaish commander is holed up in the area.
A police officer concerned said that they have launched investigations to ascertain the cause of fire incident.
However, police sources say the official was killed in an accidental fire. The entire area is under siege now.
