According to sources, a search party of the police at the circuit house at Shopian arrested one person, identified as Adil Ahmad, on October 9.
Police sources say that he turned out to be an over-ground worker of the Hizb, and 25 rounds of the AK-47 rifle were recovered from his possession. Sources within the police say the arrested person revealed that along with his friend Mudasir Mir, he received 40 AK-47 rounds from a police constable posted in Ganderbal.
Sources further said the constable Shabir Ahmad was questioned and he revealed that he recieved the rounds from another constable Nazir Ahmad posted in Shopian.
