Senior Congress leader Kamal Nath on Thursday said the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh should pay heed to what the Centre says and cut VAT on fuel to provide relief to the people of the state. Flagging higher fuel prices in many opposition-ruled states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged them to reduce the Value Added Tax (VAT) in "national interest" to benefit the common man and work in the spirit of cooperative federalism in this time of global crisis.
