Delhiites on Saturday woke up to light rains, which brought some respite from the warm weather.
Several parts of the city received rain, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
More rain accompanied by thunderstorms is predicted during the day, it said.
On Friday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, and a maximum of 30.4 degrees Celsius.
The national capital's air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the 'poor' (231) category at around 8 am.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
