In Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, a 33-year-old woman became the victim of a horrifying crime when she was allegedly set on fire by her brother-in-law in broad daylight, as confirmed by the police on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Suresh (40), has been apprehended by the police in connection with the murder that took place at Dhodhar village in Ratlam district on Saturday.

The accused, identified as Suresh (40), has been apprehended by the police in connection with the murder that took place at Dhodhar village in Ratlam district on Saturday.
According to an official statement, Suresh purportedly assaulted his sister-in-law, Nirmala, with a rod. Subsequently, he poured petrol on her before igniting the flames, resulting in her tragic death on the spot, reported Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Kumar Lodha.
Nirmala, the victim, was the wife of Suresh's younger brother, Prakash, who had recently taken his own life, as mentioned by the SP.
The official added that the accused held Nirmala responsible for his brother's demise. Currently residing in Dhodhar with her two children, the victim faced this horrific incident in the aftermath of her husband's tragic suicide.
