In a latest development from the ethnic-clashes hit northeastern state of Manipur, at least three people have died in fresh incidents of violence in Bishnupur district late on Friday. According to the officials, the deceased are reportedly from the Meitei community in Kwakta area.Besides the killings, the fresh incidents of killings also includedburning of several houses of the Kuki community.

Following the incident, the authorities of Imphal East and Imphal West withdrew curfew relaxations announced earlier to manitain law and order in the area.The day curfew also got reimposed as a precautionary measure.
Armed forces and the Manipur Police fired tear gas shells to disperse the protesters in the Kangvai and Phougakchao areas of the district.
According to the details, the incident happened while the Meitei women were attempting to cross a barricaded zone in the district. They were halted by the Assam Rifles and the Rapid Action Force (RAF), thus leading to stone-pelting and clashes between the community and armed forces.
