Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday took a jibe at BJP saying that the party should follow her father’s ideology to unite people of the Union Territory.
“BJP should pick up from my father's ideology to unite people in J&K,” PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti was quoted by PTI as saying.
Mufti took a dig at her former coalition partner BJP on the day of her father—Mufti Mohammed Sayeed’s death anniversary.
Sayeed has been the country’s first Home Minister and has also been J&K’s Chief Minister on two occasions.
It was Sayeed in 2015, who joined hands with saffron party to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir.
After his death, his daughter Mehbooba Mufti also formed alliance with BJP to become the first woman Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in 2015.
In 2018, BJP took back support from PDP forcing Mehbooba Mufti to resign from her post.
