Bhopal/ Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister has been invited to attend the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup tournament to be held in Odisha.
Odisha's Minister of State for Higher Education (Independent Charge) Rohit Pujari presented the invitation letter and a T-shirt of the World Cup Hockey.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was called on by Odisha's Minister of State for Higher Education (Independent Charge) Rohit Pujari at CM's residence, said an official.
The Minister presented the invitation letter and a T-shirt of the World Cup Hockey, he said. It may be mentioned that Hockey World Cup-2023 matches will be played in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. The tournament is to be held during the period from 13 to 29 January 2023.
During the meeting, Chouhan informed several initiatives taken by the State Government to promote sports in Madhya Pradesh and efforts taken to develop Bhopal as hockey nursery.
It is also worth mentioning that the several players of the Indian women's hockey team which finished fourth at Tokyo 2020 were trained at the Madhya Pradesh State Women’s Hockey Academy. Some of the women hockey players were- Sushila Chanu, Reena Khokhar, Monika, Rajni and Vandana Kataria.
