In a gruesome incident, Mumbai's LT Marg Police arrested a 62-year-old man for allegedly throwing acid on his live-in partner in the Girgaon area of Mumbai on Friday.
Mahesh, who was out of the house for two days, came back and threw acid on the victim on Friday at 5.30 am, while she was out to fetch water. Mahesh had brought the acid in a plastic bottle.
In a gruesome incident, Mumbai's LT Marg Police arrested a 62-year-old man for allegedly throwing acid on his live-in partner in the Girgaon area of Mumbai on Friday.
According to the officials, the victim, a resident of Fanas Wadi area in Girgaon, suffered 40 per cent burns in the incident and is undergoing treatment.
It has been reported that the accused Mahesh Pujari and the woman, were in a live-in-relationship for the past 25 years.
However, things had not been going well between the duo in recent times and the woman reportedly pressurised the accused to leave her house.
Police informed that Mahesh, who was out of the house for two days, came back and threw acid on the victim on Friday at 5.30 am, while she was out to fetch water.
Mahesh had brought the acid in a plastic bottle.
