According to NDTV reports, Sameena’s brother-in-law Javed attacked her when he came to know she had voted for BJP.
“He asked why did I vote for brother Shivraj Singh Chouhan's party," she said, as per NDTV.
She added the meeting with MP CM went well, “Bhaiya (Mr Chouhan) said they will ensure me and my children are safe, that I exercised my voting right the way I want. The Constitution gives the right to vote for anyone of our choice.”
The BJP leader took X to share details of his meeting with Sameena Bi. “The case of one of my sisters being harassed by her family for voting for BJP for a strong democracy has come to my notice,” the post read.
“I have directed the officials to take appropriate action in this regard. Along with this, the victim sister will also be given complete security and financial help. My sister, don't worry about anything, your brother is always with you.”
Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s popularity has been growing in the past decade over the past decade, as evident from his party's resounding victory in the state elections. BJP secured 163 out of 230 seats leading to Chouhan becoming Chief Minister for the second term in a row.
