Electoral Bonds Details Disclosed By Election Commission | Full List Of Donors

The electoral bonds data disclosed by the Election Commission of India (EC) on Friday have become a major talking point, with a wave of reports and social media posts on the details of donors and the political parties that received donations.

Electoral bonds, a scheme scrapped by the Supreme Court in a landmark verdict delivered on February 15, allowed anonymous political funding. A five-judge Supreme Court bench, while scrapping electoral bonds had called the scheme "unconstitutional" and ordered disclosure by the EC of donors, the amount donated by them and the recipients.

The data of electoral bonds was disclosed by the Election Commission on Thursday, a day after the State Bank Of India submitted the same to the poll body.

The EC released the details on 'Disclosure of Electoral Bonds Submitted by SBI' in two parts on Thursday -- one listing the buyers and the other listing the beneficiary parties -- on its website a day before the court-mandated deadline.
