NIA Detains 5 Individuals After Conducting Raids In 19 Locations For ISIS Network Case

The extensive operations by the National Investigative Agency took place at 11 locations in Karnataka, four in Jharkhand, three in Maharashtra, and one in Delhi.

The National Investigative Agency detained five individuals during raids at approximately 19 locations across four states, uncovering connections to the ISIS network case and dismantling what was described as a "highly radicalized jihadi terror group."

The extensive operations took place at 11 locations in Karnataka, four in Jharkhand, three in Maharashtra, and one in Delhi.

In a continuation of last week's efforts, where over 40 locations in Maharashtra were raided, resulting in 15 arrests, the NIA made further strides in addressing the ISIS module.

One of the detained individuals, identified as a leader of the ISIS module, was reportedly administering an oath of allegiance to new recruits.

During the raids, the NIA seized significant quantities of unaccounted cash, weaponry, sharp implements, sensitive documents, and various digital devices.

NIA officials assert that the accused were acting in India under the guidance of "foreign handlers" and had been actively engaged in terrorist activities within the country.
