In a poignant development, officials confirmed on Thursday that the bodies of 64 victims of the ethnic violence in Manipur have been handed over to their respective families after being kept in hospital morgues. Among the deceased, 60 belonged to the Kuki community, tragically losing their lives during the violent incidents that unfolded in May, with their bodies stored in Imphal hospitals. The remaining four bodies were of Meitei victims and had been kept in Churachandpur hospitals.
