This development came after Delhi police arrested the mastermind behind the recent Parliament attack Lalit Mohan Jha on Thursday after he surrendered himself to the police.
Delhi's Patiala House Court on Friday sent Lalit Mohan Jha, a prime accused and the alleged mastermind behind the Parliament security breach incident, to seven-day custody of the Delhi Police Special Cell. It has been reported that the Delhi Police had sought custody for 15 days.
This development came after Delhi police arrested Jha on Thursday after he surrendered himself to the police.
It has been told that Lalit, accompanied by another man, reached the Kartavya Path Police station, where he was handed over to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police.
Four individuals so far have been charged with terrorism under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for the major security breach, during which two of them -- Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D -- jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber and set off smoke canisters, while the other two -- Neelam Devi and Amol Shinde -- protested outside.
