Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday urged his Cabinet Ministers to refrain from visiting Ayodhya in February, according to sources. The reason behind the prime minister's request is to not cause any inconvenience due to the protocols that are put in place during a VIP’s visit.

PM Modi's comment on this came as the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya witnessed a massive influx of devotees the day after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22. It has been told that ministers are urged to visit the Ram Mandir from the month of March.

In the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, PM Modi also asked the ministers about the feedback from the public after the inauguration of the highly-awaited Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Ram Mandir Inauguration

On January 22, an idol of the new Ram Lalla was consecrated at the Ayodhya temple.

The mega event was attended by several thousand people including politicians, businessmen, sportspersons, and celebrities who had a 'darshan' of the deity soon after the consecration ceremony ended.

For the general public, the doors of the temple opened on Tuesday morning, with nearly five lakh devotees visiting the temple on the first day.

Devotees started queuing up from 3 am on Tuesday morning. Darshan had to be briefly paused on Tuesday due to an overwhelming influx of devotees.
